Description

This is a very rare 1966 Stereo 1st PRESSING  of The Beatles 'Revolver' catalogue number PCS 7009, wax codes Side 1: YEX-605-1, Side 2: YEX-606-1. Label states 'Sold in UK subject to.. ' etc...and 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' (see CLOSE UP photos below)

The Vinyl is Excellent and comes in a plain white sleeve, stating 'Patents applied for' & 'Made in Great Britain'.The Vinyl has a number of small hairline cosmetic scratches which can be seen when angled under light. There is one more visible scratch through 'Eleanour Rigby' which does not affect playback at all. I have listened carefully to playback throughout and there are NO JUMPS, NO SKIPS, NO BACKGROUND NOISE and minimal crackle only between tracks and quiet sections only, infact it sounds as a 39 year old LP should sound!! There are precisely 3 light POPS on intro to 'Love You To' the Harrison Sitar piece, other than that I would almost grade the vinyl Near Mint, but I can't due to the 3 light pops as mentioned, and cosmetic scratch on 'Eleanour Rigby' Having said all this, the Vinyl has clearly been very well looked after and has been played with great care.

The Cover is MINT!  It is a rare example of this Garrod & Lofthouse cover where there is very little fading of the original white to an off white or yellow..It's consistently faded with age, but is glossy and sharp and without wrinkles, the spine is intact and neither front or rear of cover have any staining/marks at all. The bottom right corner is slightly dented, but only a tiny amount, as can be seen from photos below, I only mention this as I want to be completely accurate!
