THE BEATLES: ‘RUBBER SOUL’ – AN ORIGINAL DECEMBER 1965 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE MONO VINYL LP –CATALOGUE NUMBER PMC 1267 WITH RECORD LABEL ERROR.

A VERY RESPECTABLE EXAMPLE, DEEP RICH, GLOSSY LAMINATED SLEEVE.

This original 1965 UK Parlophone mono Vinyl LP for The Beatles sixth UK album release ‘Rubber Soul’ was released on the 3rd December 1965, and was the first Beatles album sleeve not to have their name on the front. The photograph on the front of the album cover was taken by Robert Freeman in the grounds of John Lennon’s Weybridge Surrey home.

The 12” VINYL LP is on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, and ‘Sold in UK…’ label text.

The record labels have been mispressed with side one record labels on both sides, and in different style fonts. On the side 2 record label there is a small (2nd) written in pencil to indicate side 2. Both record labels are in Excellent condition, a BRIGHT, CLEAN set of record labels with just some light centre spider trails to both sides.

Side 2 Record label has been mispressed with a side 1 record label, also with a smaller type face to the track listing.

Official side 1 matrix is XEX 579-4 and Side 2: XEX 580-4.
Side 1 stampers: 48 ALG and Side 2: 48 GPH.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible to centre of the side 1 record label.

Both sides of the BRIGHT, GLOSSY vinyl disc are in Excellent condition, with no more than a few light surface hairline scratches, but NO deep scratches or scuffs.

The album plays correctly both sides, and plays well through all the tracks with NO jumps or clicks,very mild background crackle can be heard.

The album comes in an ORIGINAL Lined ‘Use Emitex…’ Printed Inner Bag which is a RESPECTABLE example, with a small split to the bottom seam, and just some inevitable light creasing, but nothing serious

And is housed in its original Patents Pending first Issue Front laminated Garrod and Lofthouse, three flip back, mono Sleeve.

The Original Garrod and Lofthouse Laminated Sleeve is in very nice Excellent condition. The front panel of this sleeve is very glossy and the colours rich, deep, and vivid .There is only minimal record indentation and a couple of laminate pinches.

The reverse panel of the sleeve is clean and shows light age toning, and handling signs to the gate edge, there is no handwriting, all 3 flipbacks are in undamaged condition, – overall this is a very clean mono sleeve.
