RARE STEREO FIRST PRESSING, IMPRESSIVE RECORD LABELS, VINYL DISC AND SLEEVE.

Summary:

‘Rubber Soul’, was released by EMI/Parlophone UK on 3rd December 1965, and was The Beatles Sixth Official UK Album, and the first Beatles album to include all four composers, and the last time that The Beatles released two albums of new material within one year. The title Rubber Soul came from a title that black musicians had for The Rolling Stones , which Paul then parodied from the original ‘Plastic Soul’ to ‘Rubber Soul’.

This is a Rare STEREO version for The Beatles 1965 FIRST PRESSING UK Parlophone vinyl LP ‘Rubber Soul’ Album Description/Condition:

This Original UK First Issue HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LP on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK….’ , and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text, and printed ‘STEREO’to both sides.

Both record labels are in superb Near Mint condition, clean record labels, showing just a few very faint signs of play, the Silver printed text to both record labels is unfaded, and the Yellow Parlophone Print and logo bold and vivid.

Both sides of the Heavyweight vinyl disc are in superb Near Mint condition. Bright and unworn vinyl surfaces with no more than a couple of light surface hairlines, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible.

Side 1 matrix YEX 178-2 and Side 2: YEX 179-2.
Side 1 stampers: 1 P and Side 2: 2 O.
There is a ‘KT’ tax code stamped to the centre of the side 1 record label.

Audio Quality:

The album plays extremely well through the tracks. There are NO skips or clicks, just some occasional background crackle, mainly on the quieter tracks, otherwise a very nice stereo sound quality.

The album comes in an ORIGINAL lined ‘Use Emitex….’ Printed Inner Bag which is in Excellent condition, there is a 2”seam split to the bottom edge, NO handwriting, just some light inevitable creasing

And is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, Front Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse three flip back sleeve, printed ‘stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.

The Original Garrod and Lofthouse Front Laminated sleeve is in impressive Excellent Plus condition. The sleeve is firm and clean, and the laminate deep and glossy, with only very mild record indentation to the front panel, and mild bumps to three corners, and light laminate pinches.

The back panel of the sleeve is White and clean, with just light handling signs to the opening edge. The spine edge is undamaged and clearly reads ‘Rubber Soul, The Beatles’.

FIRST PRESSINGS of this EARLY Beatles UK STEREO Album are becoming HARDER TO FIND in this all round IMPRESSIVE condition – A FINE EXAMPLE!!
