Description
Here are 2 RARE audiophile Beatles releases
First is a mid 80s German DMM pressing of “Magical Mystery Tour”
Germany was the only country to release this album in true stereo in the analogue cutting era.
And therefore it’s a great sounding record.
Unlike every other countries pressing of this album which all used Capitol’s TERRIBLE sounding fake stereo mixes on side 2.
This record is not only cut from analogue tapes but is also 100% TRUE stereo!
It’s from the mid 80s and is therefore an analogue DMM (direct metal mastering) pressing.
The only difference to the sound of this compared to the 70s (A1/B3) pressing is that this version has a slight bass boost (which is a GREAT thing. Just listen to “Baby You’re a Rich Man”!!)
So with this being a DMM pressing, the matrices are:
04449 - A1 +C / 04449 - B1 +C
The cover is mostly very clean. Just the white areas on the back show some age wear, but nothing bad at all.
The disc is also very clean, there are some tiny barely visible scratches but they don’t affect play.
Second is the famous Japanese black triangle CD of “Abbey Road” released in 1983/84.
Known for being the absolute best sounding CD of this album ever. Basically the closest thing to hearing the master tape.
The sound quality is truely amazing.
This is an authentic copy
See our detailed pics!
The condition is NM for both the cover and disc.
These are both so hard to find in Australia and are the best sounding pressings of each album.
Absolute must haves for audiophiles or anyone who wants a quality Beatles collection.
Serious buyers only!
We had these listed as separate auctions and the same winning bidder decided not to pay.
