Description

The Beatles Please Please Me 5th Yellow & Black Mono Parlophone in Mint- Condition. Type 2.

This is the 2nd variation of this particular pressing of the Please Please Me Lp. These had the (XEX.421) & Rec.First Pub. lines centerered to the 1(&2), before they were more centered to the 1(&2), rather than inverted as per Type 1 (please see other auctions or www.beatlebay.co.uk for a deeper explaination).

As can be seen in the pictures, there is No wear to the spindles and looks completely unplayed.

The Mother Stampers are: 15 ROT /  6, 13 RPM

(my other one is 1,11 RMP /  6, 13 RPM  incidently)

This is a must have for all label and Sleeve completists, and you would be hard pushed to find a better copy.

The sleeve is a very rare Mid-Size Mono type of which only a handful have ever surfaced. I asked Andrew from Parlogram if he knew much about them and he told me the last one he saw was 10 years ago.

On a google search only 1 reference came up for it, but yes, they do exist, and yes they look absolutely devine. I actually have another lesser quality one and they are both printed by EJ Day. The Mid-Size Stereo one's, which are also quite rare, seem to be all printed by Garrod & Lofthouse.

Inner is the original Emitex type.

A Mint Lp and an Impossible Sleeve, this lovely combination came together, so historically, the mother stamper numbers are correct for that Sleeve.

These Sleeve's are so rare, I doubt you will ever see another. Don't miss out!!!

Happy Bidding
