Offered for sale is an original Beatles Vee‑Jay VJ 581 45 RPM single featuring “Please Please Me” b/w “From Me to You”, complete with its original picture sleeve.

Vinyl Condition – VG+ / EX

1. Early U.S. Beatles Release (1964)

Released in January 1964, VJ‑581 combined the A‑sides of the Beatles’ first two Vee‑Jay singles as Beatlemania began taking hold in the U.S.

2. Highly Sought‑After Picture Sleeve

The original picture sleeve issued with VJ‑581 is considered one of the rarest U.S. Beatles sleeves. Near‑mint examples have been valued as high as $2,500.

Some promotional sleeves even advertised the Beatles’ upcoming Ed Sullivan Show appearance, placing them among the earliest and most historically important U.S. Beatles sleeves.

3. Scarce Audiomatrix / Monarch Pressing

This copy features key identifiers of the early pressings, including Audiomatrix mastering, Monarch “MR” stamp, and RA etchings.
