The Beatles Past Masters Vinyl Album: 1988 First Pressing on Parlophone - In Truly Excellent condition.

For sale is an original and rare first [November 1988] pressing of the Parlophone version of the Past Masters double album - not to be confused with the re-issue that also features the Apple logo. Interestingly, the release of this vinyl version was preceded by the CD version by some months - increasingly in the late 1980s, CD sales far outstripped their vinyl equivalents, so the gearing of this release to favour the newer format is not surprising.
This LP contains all the Beatles singles, (“A” and “B” sides), German language single releases, together with a few other tracks from E.Ps and other rare releases. If you take the contents of this double album, together with all the albums they released in period, and the album version of “Magical Mystery Tour”, you will possess in entirety, all the Beatles official track releases!
I can only provide a visual marking, but I do not think it an exaggeration to suggest the vinyl’s themselves are at least “excellent” if not near mint. Other than a bit dusty, there doesn’t appear to be any scratches, and little wear. The labels are also excellent - only one showing small evidence of spindle marks.
Inner sleeves are original and are also in excellent condition and are marked 9/88 (September 1988), ready for the album’s release in November that year. The outer cover bares some small creases and tiny bits of storage wear, but otherwise is also in very good condition with a perfect spine.
For a record that is the best part of 33+ years old, this is in remarkably good shape, barely looking more than a few months old.
