THE BEATLES: ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’ – AN ORIGINAL 1963 4th PRESSING UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE STEREO VINYL LP – PCS 3042.
This is an original 1963 UK 4th Pressing **STEREO** Vinyl LP for The Beatles 1963 Debut UK Album Release ‘Please Please Me’, first released in the UK on the 22nd March 1963.
The first pressing of this historic 51 year old UK Beatles debut album was on the Black & Gold Parlophone Record Labels with Dick James Song Credits, the 2nd pressing was on the same style labels as the 1st pressing but with Northern Songs Credits, the 3rd pressing was on the new design Black & Yellow Parlophone Label with two 331/3 rpm references, and the 4th pressing, this one, omits the Recording First Published 1963 Label Reference on both record labels.
The vinyl LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, *WITHOUT* ‘Recording First Published 1963’ and with‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in undamaged Excellent Plus condition, superb record labels, showing a few signs of play to each record label.
The official side 1 matrix is YEX 94-1/and side 2 matrix is YEX 95-1.
Side 1 machine stampers are: 1 P, and side are: 1 G.
There is an embossed ‘KT’ tax code on the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in very nice Excellent Minus condition, the heavyweight vinyl disc is free from deep scratches and scuffs, but does show some light surface scratches to both sides.
The LP plays with amazing clear Excellent sound quality from beginning to end with NO skips or clicks and NO crackle, the LP produces a stunning sound quality.
The LP comes in it’s original Use Emitex Polythene Lined Printed Bag and is housed in its original Ernest J. Day front laminated **Stereo** sleeve with three flipbacks to the reverse,
The E.J. Day picture sleeve is in superb Excellent condition. The front panel is glossy with no fading to the rich colours with a few laminate pinches, and mild corner bumps.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is in very clean condition . The spine edge is firm and all print clearly legible, the top and bottom edges are free from splits, the reverse panel of the sleeve is very clean,with just light handling marks to the opening edge, and a couple of small creases to the flipbacks.
This is a very nice example of this early 4th Pressing 1963 Beatles Original Stereo album.
