WITH THE NEWLY DESIGNED BLACK & SILVER PARLOPHONE LABEL.
Item Description & Condition:
’PLEASE PLEASE ME/ASK ME WHY’ was originally released by EMI/Parlophone on 11th January 1963.
This ORIGINAL 2ND PRESSING VINYL 45 immediately replaced the first issue Red Parlophone Label 45, and is on the traditional new design Black and Silver Parlophone Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd....’ label rim (in Lowercase), ‘Recording First Published 1963’, and ‘Made In Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record Labels are in undamagedExcellent condition. NO fading to the to the Silver Printed Text and no more than a few light centre spindle lines to each label, the official Factory Sample Sticker is on the side 1 record label.
Side 1 matrix: 7XCE 17217-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17218-1N.
Side 1 stampers: MPT 3 TO and Side 2: MPT 3 GDG.
The embossed letters PM are visible on the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in superb Excellent Plus condition, with nothing more than a few faint surface hairlines.
Play Quality:
Both sides play well without skips or clicks.
The Vinyl 45 comes in its ORIGINAL Misprinted Green Parlophone Company bag, advertising EMI Record Tokens and Cleaning Materials to the reverse. The Parlophone bag is in Excellent condition, NO tearing, handwriting or seam splits, and just a little mild creasing.
The reverse of this bag has a printing error, and very few were manufactured at the time. The error is on the reverse at the bottom where it reads
(Controlled by Electric & Musical Instruments Ltd) on all subsequent copies the word Instruments was replaced with the correct, Industries Ltd.
This is a genuine Factory Sample of The Beatles 2nd UK single on the new design Parlopphone Label, in a rare misprinted sleeve.
