Description
Up for sale is the the extremely rare Beatles Open-End Interview on Capitol Records. (Pro 2549). This particular piece of Beatlemania is an exceptionally rare one. This EP was issued to radio stations in 1964 to help promote the group. It is composed of prerecorded answers by The Beatles to which the DJ would read the questions printed on the back of the sleeve, giving the impression that the grou was there live in the station. It also include the songs "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "This Boy", and "It Wont Be Long". The sleeve (as seen in the photos) is unfortunately not in the most pristine condition as the front and back are now in two pieces, which seem to be from the adhesive dissipating over time. There are also some small tears on the side and ringwear, however, the picture and words on both sides are completely eligible.
The record itself would be in NM condition, but there is a relatively small scuff on side 2 which forces me to degrade it to VG condition.
While this is not the best quality version of this record in existence, it is nonetheless and extraordinary item of great importance to anyone interested in The Beatles and music history in general.
Any questions, please send me a message and I will answer as quickly as possible. Have a wonderful day.
