Original very early 1964 Stereo pressing factory sealed copy of The Beatles’ 1st album “Meet The Beatles!” on Capitol Records whose release occurred on January 20, 1964. At first sight, due to the date indicated on the discount tag affixed above the retail price sticker it’s easy to determine the pressing date of this copy, only if you don’t take into consideration the fact that the discount was generally applied to the items which in spite of the store’s plans remained unsold for a longer period of time. It's hard to imagine that during the Beatlemania but in the countryside the situation with this album sales was a little bit different. Based on these considerations, we will take the liberty of trying to determine the time frame within which this copy was pressed. Definitely, it isn’t earlier than February, 1964 because at the mouth of the cover through the fully intact shrink wrap you can see a blue Capitol inner sleeve of lighter tone, but no later than mid-1964 because the copy has the 1st print cover variation with the dark brown “Beatles” title and no “George Martin” producer credit on the back cover. Therefore, it seems to us that this factory sealed copy is the 2nd early February, 1964 pressing with 1 BMI credit or the 3rd mid-1964 issue with 3 BMI credits. It remains to note that this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records, Scranton pressing plant in Pennsylvania containing the RIAA “3” factory designator at the bottom right corner of the back cover. This factory sealed copy comes with an original Capitol Records 12” LP mailer box. The lid of the mailer box contains an original 2” x 3” “The BEATLES Are Coming!” promotional teaser sticker which was sent to distributors and record stores where it was most likely affixed to the front side of the box.

This factory sealed copy is in great Mint Minus condition. The bottom left corner of the back cover has a very light age discoloration spot. The shrink wrap containing the original breathe holes is fully intact and doesn't contain any splits, tears or missing pieces.
