In this auction is 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve and 1 original Beatles 45 RPM record. Here are the details:

• “MATCH BOX” b/w “SLOW DOWN” by The Beatles

• This is Capitol Records 5255.

• This record was issued August 24, 1964.

• This ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG+ (not far from NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION. There are a couple of VERY small and VERY light/slight folds/bends at a couple of the corners. There is some VERY LIGHT disc impression and JUST A TINY HINT OF VERY LIGHT partial ring wear. There are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO TEARS, and NO WRITING on this sleeve. The IMAGES on both sides of the sleeve are NICE and CLEAN.

• This is a Straight-cut (EAST COAST) Sleeve.

• The VINYL is in NEAR MINT (NM) CONDITION. The LABELS are NICE and CLEAN and have NO WEAR.

• The vinyl was pressed at Capitol’s Scranton Plant.

• This particular picture sleeve has always been a “must-have” with collectors, and I’ve often wondered why. I once read that many collectors want it because the Beatles didn’t write either of the two songs. A collector I know once told me that it’s popularity is due to the “live/stage concert” image on the sleeve (although to me it’s not in the best focus).

This is a VERY NICE COPY of this VERY DESIRABLE and one of the more HARD-TO-FIND BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES for your Beatles’ vinyl collection!!
