THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'


This beautiful UK 1st pressing dates from October 1962 release on the red Parlophone label: 45-R 4949

Both labels omit the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text.

An 'MT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label, with 'MPZT' in both run-outs.

Matrices: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N

Stamper codes: 1/GL & 1/GL

Housed in its original 'beach-striped' Parlophone company sleeve.

 

CONDITION

Labels: MINT -

A spectacular looking pair with are both totally unblemished, showing only one or two barely visible spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Superb, deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing only a few harmless light wispy hairlines beneath halogen but no scratches or other significant surface marks.

Audio: VERY GOOD +

There's no hiding the warmth and presence of the sound of this disc. However a touch of light background is audible on both tracks, but there are no jumps, repeats or any other major issues.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Clean & vibrant with '2/-' written in one corner but no tears or seam splits.
