Description

Original Beatles Let It Be box set on Apple Records (SOAL 6351, Canada, 1970).

Condition of box: Top right and bottom right corners are a bit chipped.  There is wear to the right opening of the box (about 2mm).  There's the odd crease or mark here and there, but the box is fully intact and by no means trashed.  Grades at VG.

Condition of trays: The spine of the top flap is faded (I imagine from exposure to light).  There is also creasing to the top flap.  The right flap has two tears that look to be the result of pulling the tray out of the box.  As is common with these sets, the tray that holds the book is in two pieces - the result of two tears.  Everything still fits neatly together, and the trays hold the book and LP in place.  Overall G+/VG- but again, not trashed.

Condition of book: The book is quite nice. There is a slight 1" crease on the front cover underneath the four pictures of the Beatles. This the only cosmetic blemish I would mention - all pages of the book appear to be intact, nice gloss to cover.  It does not appear to have been taken out too often.  Grades at VG+.

Condition of LP cover: There is a bit of ring wear on the front cover, no seam splits, retains sheen.  This is the correct SOAL-6351 sleeve that only came with the Canadian Let It Be box set.  Grades at VG.

Condition of vinyl: This is the correct SOAL-6351 LP that only came with the Canadian Let It Be box set. There is the odd light scratch here and there, but nothing deep or readily visible.  Retains gloss and plays well.  Grades at VG.

I try to grade conservatively and accurately.  Overall, this item is a solid copy of this scarce box set to enjoy and keep at hand until that elusive NM copy comes along.
