The Beatles - Please Please Me - Parlophone, PMC 1202, MONO
This is an original and far rarer 1963 2nd pressing on the Gold and Black parlophone label (the 1st pressing had a larger run ~25,000 copies, compared to the 12,000 for the 2nd press).
Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated cover, with large “mono” on front. Black label with gold print and “Parlophone Co. Ltd.”printed at the start perimeter print. “Northern Songs” correct publishing credit for “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Misery”, “Do You Want To Know A Secret” & “There’s A Place”. Tax code is ZMT. See photos to confirm all details. Matrix numbers - Side 1: XEX 421-1N, Side 2: XEX 422-1N
The outside sleeve has wear and tear, with splitting - the bottom edge is fully split. 'M Gray' is written in biro. The inner sleeve is also split in a few places, with tape repair. The vinyl has numerous surface scratches, but no warping.
I haven't owned a record player for 10+ years so I'm unable to verify the current playback quality. The record has been in storage for over 10 years.
It's unfortunate the item is not in better condition, but it is a very rare vinyl!
My packaging is always robust (see my feedback), and I'm always happy to discuss upgrading post at buyers request & expense.
