Description
In this auction:
· “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” by The Beatles
· This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.
· It was released in February, 1964.
· This is Version 2 of this LP with the Vee Jay Brackets Logo and includes the cuts “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” which replaced “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” on Version 1 of this LP.
· “LONGPLAYING” and “MICROGROOVE” are on the labels.
· It is IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. However, the original owner wrote the names of each Beatle by their pictures and wrote her name on the back ON THE SHRINK WRAP, Not on the cover itself. Then another past owner tried to remove the writing on the shrink which accounts for the lighter areas on the shrink wrap where writing was removed or partially removed.
· The COVER is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. The shrink wrap has several snags here and there. There is a 4-inch split in the shrink wrap at the top left. This exposed the top seam for those 4 inches and the top of the spine (corner) where there is some wear and flaking. There is also some wear at the opening on the reverse side where there are 2 small tears and some light wear on the top right corner.
· The VINYL is in STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. There are several hairlines/scuffs and LOTS OF GLOSS!
· This record also comes with its ORIGINAL VEE JAY RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE. The sleeve has a 6-inch split on the bottom but no splits on the sides.
· This is a tough LP to find still in its original shrink wrap!
FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding. On Jul-28-16 at 04:13:11 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE NOTE: The shrink wrap is not like the thin plastic shrink wrap we often think of. It's really more of a heavier gauge plastic somewhat more loose than the shrink wrap that we think of that clings tightly to a LP cover. You can see this when you look closely at the torn pieces of plastic at the opening.
