Description

I had this as a Christmas present, in 2012. I have the original Amazon sales slip which came with it, will send that along with the box set.
So, assuming that not-everybody knows what this is, this is all of the Beatles UK albums - including "Yellow Submarine" and "Magical Mystery Tour" - making 13 albums altogether, plus a 2-LP collection of non-album tracks, "Past Masters". On 180-gm vinyl, with accurate reproductions of original sleeves. Plus a nicely-produced hardback 256-page book. I think this is a limited edition, of 50,000 (which sounds like a lot, but then again, there are a lot of Beatles fans, old and new, in Europe - this is, I think, the UK and Europe edition).
When I got it, I undid the packaging, down to the level of the box of the box set, but I don't think I took anything out of the box. I then put it all back together, and it has been kept safely tucked-away in my home, ever since.  For purposes of this listing, I have again unpacked it, but again left the box-set contents in the box. So, albums are in their original unopened polythene, and the book still sealed.  As shown in my last photo, the spines of the albums are not visible, so I have not been able to "check contents". I remember that at the time, there were a few complaints on Amazon about packaging errors. My set is whatever it is, returns won't be accepted. There's no particular reason to think there is anything wrong with this particular box set.
My photos work from the outside inwards, unpacking the set. Packaging is extremely good, the strong polythene "ends" seen in second photo, create clear space between the box set and the strong outer box. Outer box has some dents in it, which don't go through to the contents. Third picture is a card "sleeve" around the box set. Incidentally, the box-set black box is a nice strong box.
When I send it to the winner of the auction, I'll wrap it in another layer of cardboard, so it's not obvious what it is. Will send it by Parcelforce within UK, £12 last time I looked, but E-Bay only allows for up to £9.50, which will have to do. It is (obviously) quite heavy (11 kilos, in fact), and quite large. If you're buying from outside UK, item will be sent through through E Bay UK's "Global Shipping", a quality courier service (UPS? I don't remember). How this works, is that I send the parcel to a depot in UK, and they handle transit to wherever around the world. That transit will be somewhat expensive, you'll be told how much (somewhere) in the listing. Taxes / duties may be payable - E-Bay collects the appropriate tax and sends it to your country's customs / tax people. There are a few countries the E-Bay shipping service doesn't send to, either because of unsafe conditions, or because that country does not allow importation of vinyl records - I understand that Japan is one of those countries..   I never sell, or send, anything to China.
My auction start price is the price I paid for the item. I won't be interested in any offers on this, the auction will run to completion on the Sunday.

I have had a query, thought I'd share my reply - as of Tuesday -

I got this in 2012, and I can't remember whether there was shrink-wrap around the actual box set, or not.
On the outer packaging, there are a couple of other labels - one with a bar-code, and another on the top, saying "SIOC Do Not Open".
I'll add photos of those in the next couple of days.
Incidentally, I noticed small damage on one corner of the glossy printed sleeve that goes around the box set - see my photo.

I have now done the two further pictures as promised. 2012 date on the barcode sticker, lower left.

The barcode sticker also shows made in Germany, so yes it's the European edition.
