The Beatles first 10 LPs (Abbey Road and Let It Be were recorded in stereo, so not included) + 3 LP Mono Masters LP in MONO, cut from the original analog tapes. These LPs were done by some of the best mastering engineers in the business, using an entirely AAA process. These sound not only as good as the original UK Parlophone LPs, but in most cases actually better, due to there being no limitations on how hot the LPs could be cut (such as was the case in the 60's due to the quality of most young people's record players at the time). You will NOT get a better sound from these classic recordings in ANY format, ANY media, period.

This is a BRAND NEW item, never played, in original shipping box, including the dedicated box and packing materials that were constructed just for this box set. I bought this straight from Universal Music.

After 4 years, this item has finally reached the point where it is sold out almost everywhere and the prices are going up at a frantic pace over the last month or two. Due to the rarity and desirability of this item you can expect the prices to only escalate from here. This is a great investment as well as one of the greatest pieces of music media in history. This will be one of the last chances you have to acquire this item for under $500!!

NOTE - You are receiving this box set exactly as it was sold. Though new, it was not shrinkwrapped. This is how this box is shipped. The book and Mono Masters LP are in shrink. The rest of the LPs are in their resealable sleeves. Please note there is no O card, which the box should have had, which simply had some advertising and the UPC. This is the thin card that slips around the entire outer box.  I don't know why Universal didn't include this; perhaps it was accidentally discarded upon packing.

I did some things with the box to protect both you and me from any problems, namely checking for split seams (there are none) and making sure the booklet for Magical Mystery Tour had not come apart from the jacket (it's mint). I also put a few paper towels in the space between the albums and the top of the box to restrict movement of the LPs in the box during shipping.

The box itself is PERFECT with no dings, stray marks, dents, corner dings, etc. etc.

Also, there are two known issues with this set (not necessarily this particular set, I'm just being general here) which affect nearly every single copy:
1. Slight warping which doesn't affect play. This seems to affect Sgt. Pepper's the most, so I did remove just this LP to check it. It looks great, with just maybe the slightest hint of warping. This is VERY good for this LP, which can suffer from severe warping in the most extreme cases.
2. Some skipping here and there. This is just residue from the manufacturing process. With this set most of the time you don't even need to clean the records, just play through them a few times to clear the skip. In more severe cases, a light wiping with a microfiber cloth and some record cleaning fluid will completely solve the problem. I have no way of knowing to what degree this set may suffer from this - my personal box had one skip on Revolver which cleared out after 2 passes. I cannot play these records to test them, as I can no longer sell the set as new after playing them. If there turns out to be any skips, please just keep all this in mind, and don't freak out as many neophyte purchasers and reviewers of this box have done in the past.
