Description

The Beatles Hey Jude - CPCS106

BEATLES Hey Jude 1969 export 1st Apple Press Revoltions Misspress

This is a very rare export only LP by The Beatles called 'Hey Jude' and is a stereo first pressing from 1969 and is impossibly rare. Later re-issues often turn up but not with the dark green label. This has the genuine export cover (often these are swapped or changed so beware switches). Although the cover appears almost identical to the later repressing, this export cover is much thicker with greater quality laminate plus larger spine text with a narrow spine. The Matrix numbers are: YEEX 150-1 & YEEX 151-1, whilst the stamper codes are:  2/A and 1/W indicating a mega early 1st Apple Pressing. The catologue number is CPCS 106 on the original dark green apple label. It also comes with the original inner sleeve. The vinyl retains a lovely just pressed lustre and lies nice and flat. Overall; Cover: Very Good; Vinyl: Excellent

It also has the incredibly rare Revolutions misspressing - it should of course state Revolution. The rare record collector guide values this currently at £500.00

Furthermore, unlike the common 'light apple label' reissues, the label states ' Paper Back Writer '. The reissues all state ' Paperback Writer '.

Shortly, I will list one of the Holy Grails of Beatles collecting, namely an Export White Album in near mint condition. This item was purchased in Zambia and remained carefully stored for nearly forty years. The cover is the Whitest I have ever seen and the vinyl looks almost unplayed!!!
