Description

An original 1st pressing of HELP on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-OO/2-OG. Please note, on the labels, the abbreviated Lark Mus. publishing credit and the space between the asterisk and 'I Need You' - both of which are indicative of genuine 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection all we can make out are a couple of light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A very well preserved copy and this is clearly evident in playback as it delivers a very nice clean rendition. Even 'Yesterday' - the test track ...plays very nice and clean. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. And then the deviation is a couple of light ticks in the intro to 'Ticket To Ride' - but it's minor and over before you know it. A great little player and made all the more impressive by the fact it's the harder to find stereo 1st.
Cover (Vg+) In super condition and clearly been carefully looked after down the years. That iconic image on the front is still lovely and white - the way it should be! There's a couple of stress creases over on the spine edge, but by and large a lovely clean and unmarked front. The rear has escaped most of the usual ageing process - just a couple of patches of discolouration in one or two spots [e.g. down in the left corner by the "£" sign]. Edge wear is very light and the spine is in decent condition with the text still legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) One side split has been taped up. Light ageing, but otherwise aok.
