Description

This is the original UK 1st pressing of the Mono album "Revolver" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catologue number PMC 1255.

The outer sleeve is in lovely condition. The front laminate retains it's full sheen and only a very mild partial ring line across the top and opening edges.  The rear of the sleeve has a couple of tiny brown stains but is otherwise in remarkable condition. Corners are nice and sharp with only one tiny dink on the bottom spine edge. Flipbacks are nice and tight with no damage. Sleeve manufacturer was Garrod & Lofthouse with Patents Pending wording.  The spine is exceptionally strong and clearly readable with no damage or storage wear.

The record is housed in the original Emitex inner that has no splits, no writing and only a few light creases

The labels show only a couple of light spindle marks, indicating this item has not been played very much. There is no writing or sticker residue on either label. Labels have "Sold In UK" text and The Gramaphone Company rim and KT tax stamp. 

Matrix numbers are: Side 1, XEX 549-2. Side 2, XEX 550-2 indicating a very early pressing.  These 1st pressings are highly sought after, particularly in this outstanding condition.

Both sides of the vinyl retain the full factory sheen. Side one vinyl has No Scratches, No Scuffs and No Other Surface marks - NEAR MINT. Side two has No Scratches, No Scuffs and No Other Surface marks - NEAR MINT.  I cannot stress just how fantastic a condition this item is in. 

The record plays with crystal clarity with no pops, no sticks, no jumps or repeats, just clear BEATLES music.

This item overall grades as an  outstanding NEAR MINT.
