Description

An original 2nd Issue of BFS on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 4N/4N. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. We also have an original [not facsimile!] Parlophone catalogue leaflet. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing heavy or that features audibly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Very nice clean audio with little to find fault with. Interference is, thankfully, very minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It really is a very fine rendition and does this Beatles CLASSIC maximum justice.
Cover (Ex) Anyone familiar with this title will know that finding one of these BFS covers in decent condition is a bit of a task! Their design, shall we say, was not conducive to longevity! But this copy really bucks the trend and is mighty impressive. That front cover is still very rigid and is not suffering any curl or any creasing at all - that is unusual. The rear usually suffers heavy creasing and ring-wear. Not here - this specimen is totally flat and there's minimal signs of handling. The interior looks great - no issues at all. Edge wear is very light for this title. The spine is 100% intact - and let me tell you that is quite a rarity. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and totally belies its age.
Inner (Vg+) light ageing and one side split [1 inch].
Parlophone Leaflet (Ex) Very little ageing at all. No rips. One corner crease.
