Description
This is the original first pressing of the 7" single "Love Me Do" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number 45-R 4949. These early Parlophone copies are hard to come by in decent condition and copies such as this are highly sought after and collectable. This particular copy is in original shop MINT condition and is faultless in every aspect.
Matrix numbers are: Side 1, 7XCE 17144-N, Side 2, 7XCE 17145-1N Stampers: Side 1, 9 O clock PZT1, 3 O clock GA, Side 2, 9 clock PZT1, 3 O clock T.
The labels have "The Parlophone Company" rim and is without the "Made in Gt Britain text".
The vinyl retains a superb shop shine on both sides and there are NO SCUFFS, NO SCRATCHES and NO OTHER SURFACE MARKS, this is really the best you will ever get.
Both labels are bright and clear with NO WRITING, NO STAINS and even more, NO SPINDLE LINES.
The record is housed in the ORIGINALLY SUPPLIED SLEEVE that has NO WRITING, NO STAINS and NO SPLITS.
WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR. THIS IS ONE OF THE GEMS FROM MY COLLECTION AND I WILL BE SORRY TO SEE IT GO BUT THINGS NEED TO BE PASSED ON AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME.
This is a nice item that has survived remarkably well for 54 years. How time flies.
