The Blue Box: EX++ There is some 'blue finish' shaving at the bottom side, a soft corner edge bump, and some corner wear at the top flap. All minor issues. This box is in exceptionally great condition. It is super clean, solidly constructed, and very, very close to NM.
The Album Covers: EX+ They are all perfectly clean with no creases, bumps, or writing. As is common with this set, most have top and/or bottom seam cracks. This is due to the cardboard used for this set not being the same thickness as the originals.
The Vinyl: NM The records appear to have never been played. They are all spotless and have no surface marks whatsoever.
The Labels: NM All labels are perfect.. with one exception. 'A Hard Days Night', Side 1 label has a fabrication flaw as seen in the photo. The record itself is NM and plays beautifully.
Playback: NM The records sound incredible and will delight audiophiles. The few that I briefly sampled had zero surface noise. These records are the last pressings made from the Beatles analog master tapes. For comparison, the most recent 2012 box set was sourced from digital files. Basically: CDs on vinyl. There is NO comparison. Summary: 'The Beatles Collection' is the perfect way to own top-quality audio pressings of the entire 12-album Beatles catalog. "Satisfaction guaranteed!"
