The Beatles – The Beatles Collection


This is an original 1978 Beatles Collection box. It is numbered 1286 out of a total of 3,000 that were made. This is an early 1978 release as indicated by the gold labels on the front and back. Later issues from 1978 included a blue sheet added between the box and cellophane listing the LP's. 
The cover is textured. The unique serial number, 1286, is on the upper front.
You can expect to open all LPs yourself. They are as packaged in 1978. The Beatles White LP will contain all posters and pictures. 
The Beatles Rarities LP is a welcome Gem. 
The box is sealed, but as the pictures show, some cellophane is missing or pealed away from the box. An original early 1978 box does not come on the market very often.
These LPs were manufactured in the U.K., imported to the U.S., then assembled and packaged by Capitol for the the U.S. marketplace. The original 3,000 boxes sold quickly and more were made. The LPs in this box are thought to have some of the best sound quality and are highly sought by audiophiles and LP buyers. Many find the LPs in this collection to rival Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) pressings for clarity of sound and getting as close as possible to the original recordings. 
All of the LPs inside will be individually wrapped. 
This box was stored for over 40 years in a temperature controlled environment.
