Description
This auction is for an “unopened” Limited Edition of The Beatles Collection box set, comprised of 14 LP’s.
This is the rare EMI BC13 “American” Version containing 13 Parlophone & Apple LP’s, including the double “White Album”.
This box set comprises a total of 14 LP recordings.
The Limited availability of this American release in 1978 resulted in the UK version being imported to the USA in great numbers.
This Limited Edition Set differed from the UK version in that the Rarities LP in the USA version (Capitol SPRO-8969) contained
the English Language version of She Loves You & I Want To Hold Your Hand.
The UK Rarities version (Parlophone PSLP261) contained the German Language versions
There were only 3,000 of these Limited Edition versions produced, and this is #2016.
The Boxed Set is still in the factory sealed “shrink wrap”, thus the contents are in mint condition. The vinyl is un-played, and the set contains the posters and all the other goodies. The shrink wrap has a couple of minor tears, but after all, it is 33 years old.
You’ll find very few of the USA versions out there, and not sure if your ever going to find one still “sealed”.
I acquired two of these years ago, and kept one tucked away in unopened condition.
