Incredibly rare 1st pressing of The Beatles “Beatles For Sale” released in Italy on December 1st, 1964. 1st print gatefold laminated cover with the “DISCHI PARLOPHON / CARISH s.p.a. MILANO” at the bottom of the interior’s left panel. The front cover contains the "Dischi Parlophon= Parlophone Records" and 3D Parlophone logomark in a box at the bottom left corner and the “PMCQ 31505” catalog number at the top right. 1st print vivid red Parlophone “Made in Italy” with the catalog number PMCQ 31505 1st label variation without the BIEM and Mecolico logo. The album comes with the original transparent Italian style plastic contoured inner sleeve. 1st pressing heavyweight vinyl contains the very early machine stamped -4N / -4N matrix stampers and release date stamp “1-12-64”. The full matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1: XEX 503-4N 1-12-64 3; Side 2: XEX 504-4N 1-12-64 3.

The original gatefold cover is in Excellent condition. It retains its high gloss and practically has no laminate peeling which is commonly found on the cover of this issue. There is only light creasing in the upper right-hand corner of the front cover and a light crease in the upper left-hand corner of the back cover. The cover is very clean and doesn't have any splits or writing, just some very light age shelf wear. The original Parlophon clear inner sleeve is in Near Mint condition and doesn't have any splits or tears. I grade the heavyweight vinyl as Near Mint Minus as it only has a couple of very light barely noticeable non-feelable surface marks. The Near Mint Minus aesthetic red labels are in beautiful clean condition only having a few very light spindle marks seen under a strong light source. The vinyl sounds amazing having a punchy and saturated sound of an Italian pressing. The occasional very light static that is heard at a loud volume during the quiet passages will most likely go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI machine.
