THE BEATLES - 'ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE'/'BABY, YOU'RE A RICH MAN'
This genuine UK DEMO of Parlophone R 5620 was circulated to select DJs & press contacts just prior to its July 7th 1967 release date
This particular copy came from the collection of the late ex-BBC broadcaster, Geoffrey Wheeler
This disc's green labels bear a large white 'A' on the 'All You Need Is Love' label together with the British release date: '7.7.67'
Both labels also carry the wording 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD - NOT FOR SALE' and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'All You Need Is Love' label & also in both run-outs
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18425-1 & 7XCE 18426-2
Stamper codes: 2/GG & 1/GA
The disc is housed within its original green & white Parlophone company cover

Both are clean & bright with some spindle trails, mostly around the 'b' side centre hole
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surface retain their deep-gloss shine but bear a number of superficial fingernail scuffs and hairlines but nothing which is deep or feelable. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Played on broadcast-quality equipment only, both songs play cleanly & clearly without any trace of any groove/playwear or background interference or indeed other audible distractions
Cover: VERY GOOD +
