PARLOGRAM AUCTIONS presents...
THE BEATLES - 'ABBEY ROAD'
This early UK 1st pressing of their majestic final studio album bears one of the few known label variations for this release.
Side 1 bears the dark green Apple Record label (PCS 7088), with the variation occurring on the side 2 label.
On that label, 'PCS 7088' is positioned beneath the '1969' date. On 99% of all other copies this is found beneath the 'STEREO' indicator.
Also the '33 1/'3 indicator opposite is below the 'Side 2' wording. Most copies have this positioned beneath the 'An EMI Recording' text.

Housed in a fully laminated, 'Garrod' & Lofthouse' printed cover, complete with original plain white 'Patent Nos....' inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with some spindle trails on each but no writing or missing paper.
Visual: MINT -
Clean & glossy playing surfaces with the only noticeable mark being a light/non-feelable 2cm scuff on side 2, which does not affect sound or play. Closer examination beneath halogen light reveals a number of light wispy hairlines but nothing else of significance.
Audio: EXCELLENT -
Despite having been played a number of times, the sound quality throughout is clear and unworn. Our play-check at volume detected only a couple of clicks at the end of 'Oh! Darling', along with some light/regular vinyl background during some of the quieter passages. Overall, this is a very nice sounding copy from early stampers.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example with a clean, high-gloss laminate all-round bearing just one or two light laminate wrinkles and minor storagewear. The corners are in good shape, as are both of the opening edges. Both seams are smooth & intact and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT -
Some age toning to the edges but fully intact with no writing or seam splits.
