Description

THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT' Parlophone  mono
This wonderful sounding 1st UK MONO pressing dates from initial July 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1230

Both labels bear the earliest 'chubby style' font with the 'Sold in UK subject to resale' text with 'The Parlophone Co Ltd..' rims

The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label

Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N

A clean  pair of labels bearing nothing more than a small handful of spindle trails around each centre hole. check photo

Visual: EXCELLENT near mint

Perfectly clean deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their factory shine and are, apart  surface mark on both side , unmarked in strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath a halogen  lamp reveals little more than some superficial wispy paper hairlines consistent for age

Sound is EXCELLENT PLAYS LIKE NEW

COVER  has seen better days and is only thrown in please check photos  front has some black marks around THE beatles and MONO top  plus  peeling on bottom  edge.

spine is ok with hard day's night  clear and intact, back has some brown spotting , the back looks like it is caught up with age etc
