The Beach Boys "The Capitol Years" 7LP Box Set UK

Info: This giant 7LP Beach Boys box set is called "The Capitol Years" and was pressed in Great Britain. It was released in 1980 on World Records Limited (SM 651-SM 656, SMF657). The coolest thing about this box set is that when you place the first 6 LPs together they create the cover art of the box set (see supplied photo)! It contains 123 songs in all! Some songs are in Mono and the others in Stereo. It also contains a 12-page booklet packed with information, as well as a Guarantee Certificate from the record company and an envelope addressed to the record company!

Condition: The box has some shelf wear and a few marks. All the inner jackets are super high gloss and besides a small crease on two of the covers that you can only see in the right light, all jackets appear to be close to mint condition with a few factory printing marks created from the original stick of the super high gloss. The inner sleeves are plain white with a non-static inner liner and have a hole in the center to see the red World Records label. All the vinyl appears to be really close to Mint condition. I bought this from someone who only played it once and I personally have played this set just once and recall no issues whatsoever.

About My Collection: I spent many years working in and around the record business in Los Angeles. The famed record chain, Amoeba Records, has been virtually frothing at the mouth to purchase my collection. Since I and a lot of the working world are between jobs right now, I thought it best to sell to the general public.

What the collection offers is lots of old records that were out of print and in decent shape to cut-outs and promo stamped versions, white label promos to immaculate records in store-bought condition to picture discs, colored vinyl, bootlegs and lots of imports from all over the world such as the high quality releases from Germany and Japan. Lots of titles with their original cover art and/or original labels, some in their original unopened shrink wrap! If I bought it new and it had any additional inserts... they will still be there.

Quality and Storage: Having played these records in my past, I don’t recall any of these records having issues such as being warped or having skips. I never loaned them out, never touched the actual vinyl and have always been a mint-condition freak. In the early days, to cut down on vinyl usage, I used to make and play an audio cassette version made from the vinyl.

As I cannot take an hour to list each item with every possible detail (but will do my best!), I will gladly answer any questions if there is anything specific information you need to know about the listing that I did not cover.

I have only lived in two places over the last 25 years and the records have been living in their own custom-made cabinets inside a non-smoking household. They have never been in storage or abused in any way.

I will ship internationally ONLY if you are patient to receive the item because it is a time-consuming procedure that I cannot do from home like I can for domestic shipments. Shipping costs outside of the US are not cheap and I might have to invoice you separately for those charges.
