Usually, the Capitol Records promo copies of The Band "Music From The Big Pink" came with a standard promotional punch hole in the top right corner. However, this copy has a cover with the perforated "FREE" promotional punch on the front panel and this comes across very rarely. I have never seen another factory sealed copy like this before. Usually, Capitol Records shipped these promotional copies to radio stations several months prior to the album's official release date. Therefore, this copy could be considered a very early 1st pressing. The proof of that is the 1st print cover with Bob Dylan's drawing that doesn't have the "© B.D. 1968" copyright text with Dylan's initials, which is present even on the very early pressing of this album. Instead, the back cover contains an insanely rare "Cover by Bob Dylan Music by His Band" hype sticker, which could be considered as the predecessor to the copyright text, which was printed on the front cover shortly thereafter. This promotional radio station DJ copy has one more, no less rarer, sticker of unusual neon pink color with the album's title and listed song titles of both sides. The sticker contains an error because it indicates 5 tracks for Side 2 whereas the correct number of songs is 6. The title of "Chess Fever" (B3) track is absent from the sticker. Thick cardboard cover with a black border has the 1st print white top and bottom edges containing the SKAO 2955 catalog number on the front and back cover along the spine. The shrink wrap is fully intact and doesn't have any tears, splits or missing pieces, containing the breathe holes on the front and back cover. This promotional copy is in amazing Mint condition.
