This disc was purchase by me, brand new, from Debenhams in Southampton 1969/70, together with an Abbey Road 1st pressing, which is also listed
My parents had bought me a new record player, so I was able to play and hear songs in stereo for the first time. Being the first two LP's I ever purchased, I was determined to keep them pristine and that's what they are, more or less. I wasn't so concerned about the covers but they are pretty good too
The only difference between this copy and the original 1965 Yellow Parlophone 1st pressing is the labels. Cut from the same 3/3 masters and pressed on the same heavyweight vinyl, it is identical in all other respects

Visually:
In my experience there are two types of bidders in this category - (1) those who accept that all vinyl is marked once it is opened and handled and (2) those who prefer to stare at it in unnatural light rather than listen to the music - so I have divided the description to suit either category :-)
EX+ (1)
The disc appears near pristine, even against reflected daylight - a few very light, harmless lines

VG (2)
   Under a powerful halogen light there are lots of otherwise invisible. wispy handling lines, even on the super smooth deadwax area, almost entirely caused by dust particles and also a small dull area on side 1, which has been there from manufacture and is in the vinyl itself and not apparent when viewed naturally. Placing the disc onto a turntable will make these things disappear and it will gleam like new!

Never played on anything except the correct equipment, this disc delivers a flawless performance - stone cold silent run ins

One faint alignment line, side 1 (more likely from the factory stacking process) - I cannot see any on side 2

Cover:
EX            Tri flipback in great condition - the front panel is glossy and smooth - just a few mild wrinkles - the unprotected back has stayed white - the pinched ends spine is perfect and the pinched reds are very noticeable (see photos)  - disc impression, from storage - no heavy crescent bends at the opening

All records are thoroughly cleaned and I will of course, continue with the surreal requirement of separating the disc from the cover, even though they have been together now for over 50 years and have left a lasting impression :-)
