What an amazing collectible this is... Not only do we have one of the most famous vinyl rarities in the world but it’s the gold stereo 1st pressing of Please Please Me.
It also has the original 'gold' stereo sleeve, original Emitex inner and unbelievably, the original NEMS advertising sleeve from the North End Music Store owned by Brian Epstein and his family in Liverpool. It even has a rare Parlophone advertising flyer!!
The condition of the vinyl is fair as it has lots of very light marks to both sides, it is unfortunate but it has a deeper mark on side 2 (pictured). It is obvious that it has been played many times so please bear in mind when bidding, as I do not want bidders hoping for something perfect when in fact they are not going to get perfection. That said, the record does play surprisingly well.
The NEMS sleeve is in remarkable condition.
The original gold sleeve is really quite nice and is graded as very good.
The Stampers identify that this record was one of the first 300 ever pressed. This stereo version was not originally for sale to the general public. This version was handed to the media outlets.
