The BEATLES "PLEASE PLEASE ME"
PARLOPHONE Cat# PMC 1202
ORIGINAL 1963 BLACK and YELLOW lable.
*************************************************************
Here's the excellent debut album by the most legendary of all bands of music history.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, THE BEATLES!"
John Lennon was their leader instigator, spurring the lads on from strength to strength, gigs and adventures from Liverpool to Hamburg and back, to The Cavern, Brian Epstein, Abbey Road, flights across to Sweden, The Atlantic to break in the USA, to "the toppermost of the poppermost". The ambition was believed and the boys lived it together.
This is great music - and this issue is the original 1963 THIRD pressing, which omitted the date on the lables.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades visually VG, but with great EX sound on playback.
Generally there are several surface scuff marks but not into the deep groove, to sound.
There's not intrusive crackle, so it gives a sound that's way better than the appearance.
There's a 'scrape' that *looks* drastic on track 4 of side 2⁶, though when played revealed just a couple of light tics only.
Black and Yellow-Parlophone Lables are VG+, clean, no writing or stickers.
The LAMINATED Garrard & Lofthouse COVER is EXCELLENT, very little sign of wear, a FINE example!
There's NO writing, stains or stickers, and the rear text is clear.
The opening edge sharp and the seams aren't stressed or split where the disc would sit. Wonderful!
A collectible issue of an outstandingly iconic and important album in music history.
See pictures.
