Description

A 1963 1st Yellow and Black Pressing in ‘Stereo’. Known as the “THIRD PRESSING."

An almost impossible to find rarity with a Yellow and Gold label and the second small 33 1/3RD printed on it.

YEX .94 and .95

PCS 3042

Stampers 1M side one, 1G side two.

The credit for the photo on the front of the sleeve shows the A of Angus McBean directly under the last S of Songs.

All of these things indicate that this record is one of the earliest of the Third Pressings, of which there are reputed to be only 300 copies and the stampers would seem to validate this.

I bought this LP early in 1963. I went to the record shop to buy a stereo version, (at the time I was a bit of a Hi Fi Buff), but they only had mono, they ordered me this copy, which I picked up a week later.

It is been rarely played over the last 50 years, but when I played it earlier this week it was as bright, clear and vibrant as when I first played it.

The pressing shows no signs of any scratching, marks or anyother blemishes detrimental to its output. So much so that I would classifythis record as excellent +.

As to the Sleeve and inner you will see from the photographs that they are slightly less than good.

I am not now a record collector and therefore am offering this pressing so that someone else can enjoy owning it in its fiftieth year.

Good Luck with your bid and if you would like any further information just get in touch.
