Danish . PMCS 306. Printed Matrix number XSTX 115 1 and XSTX 116 1. Original release from 1965.
One of the rarest Beatles records, only 3000 were pressed of this unique compilation.Only ever released in Denmark, this collection of 1962-1965 non-album tracks is considered by many to be the highest fidelity pressing of any vinyl Beatles compiliation, the high frequencies and bass notes are remarkably clear.
The record is flat and has been professionally cleaned, the vinyl is heavy and shiny. It does have surface marks but plays just beautifully with a few crackles near the beginning of each side and the very occasional click but really does play with the wonderful mono sound as previously described. Visual its a VG++ but the sound is a very strong EX. Labels have a few spindle marks but no writing or marks. Sleeve isn't bad, it has no tears or bits missing. Its a very fragile sleeve and this one has faired well, its a bit discoloured at the opening and is showing a little ageing here and there. It has the previous owners initials in very small writing in the top right hand corner on the back, I've highlighted it in one of the photos, it really is very unobtrusive. I would grade this sleeve as an EX.
