Description

Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.

Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:    Yes, it is...with flipback cover: glossy laminated front; matt back...black and white 'stereo' sticker folded around spine...mono and stereo catalogue numbers on back at top right...has black and silver 'BANNER STEREO' labels. Although the mono copy was released on the 7th June 1966, the stereo version wasn't released till the 22nd Feb. '68, and this is indeed, a first stereo pressing.

CONDITION:

COVER: ( EX )...stunning!...very close to mint...has barely visible, VERY beginnings of ringwear...with some foxing (very light brown 'age-ing' spots) on the back...46 years old and looking this close to new is very hard to grasp...

RECORD: ( EX )...again, stunning...has a couple of the very lightest of scuffs only...I wouldn't have believed a copy in this condition still existed...it's absolutely beautiful...you probably would NOT need to upgrade...

LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: MINT )...it looks rarely played...
