ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: No...orange label re-issue with falsely 'corrected' songwriter credit for "Kansas City": - the story goes that because the rear cover label credit incorrectly spelled Jerry Leiber's surname as 'Lieber', AND the initial label credit had spelled it supposedly incorrectly as 'Leiber', some alert Sydney EMI staffer had spotted the anomaly and the second orange label pressing was 'corrected' to reflect the supposed correct spelling - they even used a slightly different and bolder font for the full track #7 details (see pic)…of course, they got it wrong – they should’ve just changed the cover mistake and left the label as it was…they never corrected it - all subsequent re-issues had the incorrect spelling on both the cover and label...
Cover is unique to Australia, with the four front cover photos being taken at their 1964 Sydney concerts.MATRIX NUMBERS - Side One: YEX 142 YAPAX-1003-2 / Side Two: YEX 143 YAPAX-1004-5 (underlined = hand-etched; otherwise, stamped)
CONDITION - COVER: ( VG++ )...has some scuffing on the bottom seam (and a little on the top)...and there's a stain at the bottom of the back cover
CONDITION - RECORD: ( EX- )...has loads of original shine with a few very light scuffs only - plays beautifully!...
CONDITION - LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: MINT )...
PACKAGING AND MAILING: Absolutely ALL care will be taken when packaging this - record and sleeve will be separated to avoid any damage in transit, and both will be packed in a sealed outer light plastic sleeve between layers of strong very flat and thick card - I've been doing this for a while and have attained a good safe packing standard.
