Description
The BEATLES
*ABBEY ROAD* 1st pressing - 1969
Seldom seen, very early label error with no hyphen separating the Lennon-McCartney writing credits for 'She Came In Through The Bathroom Window'
Matrix: Side 1: YEX 749-2 Stamper code: 1-GAR Matrix: Side 2: YEX 750-1 Stamper code: 1-R
Audio:
EX+ / Ex-
Side 1 plays perfectly, with crystal clear sound throughout. There are some repetitive 'ticks' at the beginning of the first track, side 2 and the odd random 'pop' here and there but sound quality is still crystal clear. Run-ins are silent and there is no background noise whatsoever. Lovely audio quality from this disc.
Visually:
EX-
The vinyl has retained a good gloss lustre but does display some careless handling lines/marks, mostly on side 2. That said, they are mainly fairly light even against reflected light. Obviously, there are more wispy handling lines visible against a searchlight beam.
Labels:
MINT-
The labels are in perfect condition and display just a few spindle trails, both sides. This suggests that the disc has received minimal play, borne out by the fantastic sound quality.
Cover:
VG
Earliest original with the misaligned apple logo. Generally fairly tired looking but fully intact (please study the photos).
Inner sleeve:
VG+
Original, single die-cut issue. Great condition for this fragile item. There are no seam splits, just a tear on the hole and some creasing.
Your record will be sent by Special Delivery (UK) or Tracked and Signed (International) and will always cost more than YOU PAY for postage
The photos are of the actual item for sale. All records are thoroughly cleaned and listened to, from beginning to end. Professional mailers are always used.
I will be listing more Beatles records, so please have a look.
