Description
The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation.
Orig released July 1968
Condition is "Used Excellent " Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class. In reinforced record sleeve.
This debut album was a vehicle for the Liverpool drummer to be an independent.
Before Dunbar had even got to the point of starting his own band, he had also worked with John Mayall bluesbreakers, Peter Green and John Mcvie of Fleetwood Mac fame, to cut an influential album "A Hard Road" with Mayall.
He then left Mayall to work with ex-Yardbirds Jeff Beck's group, with Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron wood on bass.
Beck was taken with his new drummer, but even though they cut some great tracks together, some written by Graham Gouldman of 10CC fame, he became dissolutioned and left after 4 months apparently?
So with all those influences and experience, he took control of his own future and formed his own band.
The album was released in Canada, France, Sweden, the UK and in the USA with a limited re-release in 69.
Coming back to the album itself, I can honestly say there is not a single scratch on it.
So I would say it's as near to mint as you're going to get.
Apparently its hard to find an original one in this condition. And it's rated highly by record collector magazine.
The cover is Ex plus, beautifully laminated, all in all, great condition for a 52 year old record.
Comes from a smoke and pet free home.
Thanks very much for looking.
