Description

"Animalisms was the third studio album and stands as landmark album that epitomizes The Animals' raw, electric energy during a transformative period in music history. As one of the defining records of British R&B, it encapsulates the band’s powerful essence just before the original lineup disbanded. Eric Burdon’s formidable vocal prowess combined with the band’s strong blues and soul influences showcases their departure from the more commercial sound of contemporaneous British pop bands.
The album is a gritty collection of both popular blues standards and lesser-known tracks, demonstrating The Animals' unique blend of R&B and blues-infused rock. Driven by:
Eric Burdon’s Vocals: A soul-stirring delivery that conveys raw emotion and intensity.
Dave Rowberry’s Organ: Adding a swirling, psychedelic undercurrent that accentuates the band's sound.
Hilton Valentine’s Guitar: Featuring biting riffs that embody the album’s fierce energy.
Chas Chandler’s Bass: Providing a solid foundation with a driving rhythm.
John Steel’s Drumming: Delivering tight and earthy beats that propel each track forward."
