ATTENTION Andy Griffith Show & Mayberry fans....I have a RARE find for you! This is the original LP soundtrack from "The Andy Griffith Show" titled "Songs, Themes, and Laughs from The Andy Griffith Show", with music composed by Earle Hagen. Released by Capitol Records many years ago....most of "The Andy Griffith Show" memorabilia found was made after the show ended. This is one of the few pieces of merchandise released during the show's original airing (the others being a coloring book, and two issues of a comic book). This makes it very much sought after for collectors of Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry items.
Tracks include: The Andy Griffith Theme, Jack the Giant Killer, Flop Eared Mule, Ellie's Theme, Sourwood Mountain, The Man Hunt, The Fishin' Hole, Aunt Bee, The New River Train, Mayberry March, Cindy, and Barney's Hoe Down.
Please note that I am not a record expert...just a fan of The Andy Griffith Show. I actually live only about an hour from Mt. Airy, North Carolina....Andy Griffith's birthplace and the inspiration for the fictional town of Mayberry. I'm giving this the rating of "very good", which is what it was rated when I purchased it here on ebay....the only damage of note being the bottom corner of the outer sleeve which I've taken a close up photo for you. I've seen copies of this record in antique stores here in North Carolina at more than double the "buy it now" that I'll be placing on this listing. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of television history....the only reason I'm getting rid of this is that I've ended up with more than one copy in my own collection.
