Super rare Demonstration Record on Parlophone R5553
A' Side is The Addicted Man B' side Help Me Mummy's Gone - both sides play well, there is a little surface noise on the run in but that settles quickly. How good your sound system will determine how much destortion or feedback you detect but there are no problems generally and you should enjoy the experience.
Labels are good - a date is written on the A'side otherwise nice and clean. There is a small scuff on the B'side label near the centre.
NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM !! Good luck to all you rare record collectors.

Hello everyone - many thanks for viewing this item. As the time draws nearer to decision time I thought it appropriate to confirm the visual and audio condition in slightly more detail in the hope it helps you to agonise over the next step! Of course, this rare single should be framed and vaulted but the whole idea is to sample what was at the time a very risky 'drugs statement' and the good news is that, although not mint, it does play very well.
Visual comment :- Side A (under strong light) small surface marks evident throughout, tiny light marks; more than likely abrasion through poor storage. Tiny dent mark (1mm) in run off - Very, very small marks dotted around. A clean copy. Audio Comment :- Side A -Light surface noise on the run-in, once track starts it is difficult to hear, even when the track goes quite it is not noticable. The odd small pop but nothing major, plays through with no problems. When reaching the end the small dent mentioned above causes a very faint thump for less than 5 seconds.
Visual comment - Side B :- (under strong light) a little more surface marks than 'A' especially around beginning. More evidence of small scratches doted about and a 1 cm abrasion mark halfway. Evidence of poor storage. Audio Comment : Side B - This is one of those strange cases when you expect it to be worse than it actually is. Noise on the run in and slightly more pops during the play but generally an uneventful listen of this powerful 60's rock track - really good. Sure there is some noise occasionally but certainly nothing major. Once again a slight 'thump' at the very end.
Please note the system you use may determine a greater highlighting of these faults, may pick up more destortion than the 1960's player I use, please bear that in mind. OVERALL I would rate Side A :VG and Side B : G++ .
