CONDITION

A-Side:

VG-  There are a few scratches which cannot be felt, but one scratch does cause around 10 pops which rise just above the music.  If not for that it would be a strong VG if not +.  There is also a small  chip in the outer wax which can be barely felt (if you were to close your eyes and run your finger around the outer edge you probably wouldn’t be able to find it).  This chip is not within a groove so it does not effect play.  Promotional stamp and a pen or pencil mark (below the ‘des’ in Spades) as well as slight wear are evident from the scans.

B-Side:

Strong VG  Would have made VG+ but for one distracting pop in the first 30 seconds.  Some noise otherwise but nothing to take away from your aural pleasure.   Label wear evident in scans.

DESCRIPTION

First time on Ebay?  First time publicly offered since…?

Don’t know that you can hype this disc too much.  So let me try.

A Texas rarity and maybe a bargain for those without the money for a M-, should one of those be offered up anytime soon.  Harmonica led pounder on the top deck and moodiness supreme on the flip.  Very first release by Roky Erikson.  The first stab at “You’re Gonna Miss Me”.  The gateway to the 13th Floor Elevators.   The beginning of psych.  And one of the most legendary Texas garage discs or Texas discs period.  And it’s still so much more than that.

This copy was unearthed a few years back in a pile of radio stock which seemed to have originated in Corpus Christi so that might explain the “promo” stamp.

Bid like you want it!
