Test Pressing – SAX 2562 – ROUSSEL: SPIDER’s BANQUET – CLUYTENS
2 single-sided Columbia white label stereo test pressings (see photos). Columbia catalogue no. SAX 2562 - Andre Cluytens conducting the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra in 3 works by Roussel: Bacchus & Ariadne Suite No.2; The Spider’s Banquet; Sinfonietta for Strings.
N.B the commercial sleeve is the mono version (33CX 1921) but the disc labels are stamped stereo.
The discs have an unplayed appearance; we have not played them. Commercial sleeve is excellent; the word "mono" on the front has been crossed out and "STEREO" inked in.
