Test Pressing – Capitol – VILLA LOBOS: BACHIANAS BRASILEIRAS
2 single-sided USA stereo LPs by Capitol with white handwritten label (see photos). Concert Arts Cello Ensemble with Felix Slatkin with Marni Nixon (soprano).. Villa Lobos: Bacchianas Brasileiras No.1 for eight cellos (Introduction, Prelude, Fugue) and No.5. Bach: Prelude and Fugue No.8.
The (very scruffy) inner is date stamped Jan 11, 1960.
The discs have an unplayed appearance; we have not played them. N.B. No commercial sleeve.
N.B. This item is from the personal collection of a gentleman closely involved in the classical music business during the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s.
