Test Pressing – ASD 639 – KOECHLIN / BOULEZ / MESSIAEN

2 single-sided HMV white label stereo test pressings made in England (see photos). 1965 catalogue number ASD 639 issued in HMV’s Music Today series; Antal Dorati conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra in Charles Koechlin’s symphonic poem "les Bandar-Log" Op.176, and Olivier Messiaen’s "chronochromie for orchestra", and Pierre Boulez conducting the BBC Chorus and Symphony Orchestra in his own work "le soleil des eaux" for soprano, flute, bass, chorus and orchestra.

The Koechlin side has 2 very light marks and 10 random light ticks. We have not played the Messiaen side as there are no visible marks. The commercial sleeve is intact but has dirty marks and record impress + ink asterisks on rear.
