Description

Terrific example of this hard-to-find early Kenny Burrell LP and a “marriage” of first pressing cover to second pressing vinyl.

 

Cover features original Warhol textured frame cover and 47 W 63d St address without “Inc,” indicating this is from the LP’s first pressing. Beautiful mono vinyl features Lexington labels and “RVG” and “9M” hand-written into dead wax, indicating it is probably an early second Blue Note pressing.

 

Full Disclosure: an attempt was made by a previous owner (not me) to restore legibility to text on cover. This can be seen in magnified photos of front cover details (e.g. Warhol signature) and back cover details(e.g. LP titles). I am making this clear so that buyer knows that, although an original first pressing frame cover, some significant restoration has been done which may or may not be to buyer’s liking. None of this has any bearing on the music, of course.

 

Vinyl: EX. Vinyl is immaculate with high gloss, played perhaps only a few times, with clean Lexington labels. I would rate this a EX for visual and EX for play. No skips, pops, or clicks. Stunning RVG production shining throughout. Just gorgeous. See photos for details.

 

Cover: VG. As described in disclosure above, there has been some significant restoration work to lettering on the front and back covers of LP. Otherwise, this is a solid VG visually and VG+ structurally, with some mild foxing and tight seams all around. See photos for details.

 

LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.
