Description
I have been passionate about vinyl for 40 years and have been collecting ever since. All my descriptions are honest and detailed. I take pride in the postage and packaging.
All records are professionally packed and include a new inner sleeve and anti-static liner to protect the original from splitting. Description
The esteemed and highly acclaimed Sir Malcolm Sargent portrays his accolades well with these beautifully conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra in these masterful renditions of Tchaikovsky ;'Theme and variations from Suite No.3 in G major, Op.55, 4th Movt' and Dvorak; 'Symphonic Variations Op.78'. It is a wonderfully moving throughout.
The Outer sleeve shows some signs of wear with a slight tear to the top centre which carries over or from a slight catch in the arched flip back reverse side along with a small tear/crease to the spine side which is a shame but apart from that they are extremely clean and is merely shelf wear. Bearing in mind that the sleeve is actually quite thin it is in not really surprising given it's age and the amount of play this vinyl has deservedly had.
The original anti-static inner sleeve is in beautiful condition and has no rips, tears or creasing. I suppose being picky one could say that there is a very slight dis-colouration again down to age.
The labels are in superb condition with minimal signs of spindle wear and have obviously been handled with care.
Leading to the playback; It is sonically beautiful to listen to with only a few light ticks/pops (I counted '4 on side 1' and '5 on side 2') and given it's vintage it has a remarkable lack of overall background/normal vinyl noise and is only noticeable in a few places
Just to conclude. The performances are a truly enjoyable experience and despite the aforementioned defects which are most certainly not major they do not disturb the listeners pleasure, or most certainly not mine anyway.
